Toothpick - Tip Calculator app for iPhone and iPad

Weve created a sexist tip calculator to place the issue of gender income inequality into a context that the every day American can actually identify with: the practice of tipping.

The tip calculator, Toothpick, takes into consideration the price of your meal, the quality of the service, and the gender of your server. If your server is a female, an appropriate gender-based deduction is applied to your final tip amount, reflecting the lower percentage in wages that women experience according to the U.S. Census.

We believe that Toothpick will help ordinary people have a better understanding of what its like to work as a woman in this country, and will compel them to participate in our campaign to bring awareness to the fact that women are not recognized in the Constitution as having equal rights as men.
